Amazing Books I read for this week

I don't know how but I started getting obsessed with old fashioned books. I never even imagined that I would ever even glance at these kinds of books but well here I am now talking all about it.

The first one is 'Little Lord Fauntleroy'. It is just simply amazing. I can't name out any kind of books except for Harry Potter which touched my heart so much. I literally cried when the Earl became fond of Cedric. It was just simply majestic. It is not an exaggeration if I say that this book is the next best book after Harry Potter.

Right now I am reading 'Anne of Green Gables'. Thousands and thousands of small printed words but that didn't even matter for once! I love it and it is satisfying me till now. I am in chapter 4 and it is already interesting.

Frozen

I never watched the disney movie 'Frozen' but my friends say it is an amazing movie. So what I did was draw the main character of the movie which was Elsa.
I never drew animated humans but it was a nice experience to draw her. It was the most challenging thing ever but it was also really fun to draw her.
I remember that her nose and lips were the ever most challenging thing.

Pencil Drawings

I did some pencil drawings and sketches just to study how pencils are different from paintbrushes.
I am not particularly a fan of pencils but it doesn't harm to give it a little experience right?

I based most of my drawings on my sketch learning book and it was pretty challenging.

In my opinion I liked the snapback the best. And it was also the easiest surprisingly.

Canvas Paint

I challenged myself a lot in this particular art work because I never actually painted on canvas as in drawing figures or other kind of detailed things. It always was designs or abstract art. But now I felt like challenging myself and pushing myself a bit and I thought about painting a girl's head. I based the idea on one of the google images because I was not too confident of how I should do all this.

And this is what I came up with:

Finishing of the 'magazine cutting' art work

Do you remember the canvas where I cut out little triangles from the magazine to create a design?
Well I have got good news! I finished it and it looks better than I thought.

I chose the word 'Inspire' because every canvas works that I do inspires me. Every little stroke or cuttings I do, I get new ideas which fascinates me. I guess that canvas work just explains how I feel about art. :)

Canvas abstract/lyric art

Well, in my school our class has been learning abstract art for quiet awhile and I thought about making one piece myself.

But then it looked so empty and bare. So I did what I always like to do; put words on it!
I was and still is inspired by The Great Gatsby and I thought about putting the last sentence of the very book on canvas.

"So we beat on boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past"
...
It went well until I realised that I didn't have space for all those words. So I made a decision to cut out some words to fit the quote in the canvas. It was quiet hard because I had to be careful not to make the sentence nonsense so this is what I came up with:

"So we beat on against the current..."

It's a bit weird but that was the best I could do. I thought about putting chalk effect by using fingers to write the words but it was extremely hard. I think I should put some more white paint on it to make it more visible. I will present it when it is finished.
